A new category, Young Scottish Chef, sponsored by Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight, joins other categories in this year's Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards, which are commonly recognised as the 'Oscars' of the food and drink industry.
This new category aims to reward a young chef (aged between 16 and 24) who excels not only in their cookery but also in their use of Scottish food and drink.
The winner of the award will win the opportunity to spend time training with one of Scotland's top chef's (details to be confirmed) and will also represent Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight as a young ambassador.
