Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight 2014 was held between the 6th and the 21st of September, and was a jam-packed (sometimes literally!) feast of the very best of Scottish produce.
Over 200 events were held from Shetland to London, with something for everyone to get involved in: among these Food Adventures were foraging tours, tastings galore, food and craft beer festivals, farmers' markets, cooking lessons, special menus and pop-up dining experiences.
Thank you for supporting Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight in
Scotland's larder is in the spotlight once again in 2015 as, in partnership with Scottish Government, VisitScotland, EventScotland and Think Local, we celebrate the Year of Food and Drink, hot on the heels of the year of Homecoming and the triumphant sporting events where quality Scottish produce took centre-stage.
The aim of the Year is to mark, highlight and promote Scotland's abundant, quality produce to our people and visitors, demonstrating that we are a destination for delicious food and drink and its key role in our economic growth and cultural development. A series of monthly themes which focus on the breadth of the Scottish food and drink offering have been developed. Building on Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight, September's theme is Celebration with a focus on events and products that celebrate provenance and the produce on our doorstep.
