Supporters

A wide range of retailers and food groups across the country are supporting the Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight.

Feed your Family from Fifty Miles

A new project for Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight, Feed your Family from Fifty Miles is supported by a wide range of producers, Farmers' Markets, farm shops and community groups.  The aim is to connect people with the excellent and affordable local food available near them, and encourage people to make eating local an everyday thing.  Fifty mile stickers will highlight products from within fifty miles of each participating outlet, and recipes from famous Scottish chefs are available on the website.  Different promotions and activities are on offer in each area of Scotland, so check out what's on in your fifity mile zone!

One Planet Picnic

A fortnight of sustainable picnics will be held by schools to celebrate the harvest, taste some good Scottish food and enjoy learning about Food and the Environment, the newest Eco-Schools topic.  One Planet Picnics will include food that is healthy for people and the healthy for the planet. Picnic food might include school grown crops or local produce and picnics will try to reduce food and packaging waste too.  This project includes a 'One Planet Picnic' competition, with fabulous foodie prizes across Scotland to further support learning about sustainable food choices.
